Lao Sui, aged 20, met his Chu Gar Sifu, at this Guan Yin Temple on the East River and from 1899 until 1903 trained here.  In 1903, at just 24 years old and after only four years of training, Lao left his home in Huiyang, Huizhou and moved to Hong Kong where he worked for some 15 years before considering to teach Chu Gar.
